This is the questionnaire domain of ONU’s own model, not a diagnosis. Anaemia is confirmed with a blood count, not with questions.
What you walk away with
Three things, in about five minutes.
01
Separate tiredness from anaemia
Breathlessness on stairs, pallor, brittle nails and unusual cravings point somewhere specific in a way that general fatigue does not.
02
Know which values to ask for
A full blood count alongside ferritin says far more than haemoglobin alone. Ask for both.
03
Understand why it matters to find the cause
Iron deficiency is a finding, not an explanation. Knowing this stops you settling for a supplement and no answer.
What it looks at
Nothing hidden behind the result.
Laboratory values
Haemoglobin and red cell indices
Ferritin and iron studies
B12 and folate where indicated
What you notice
Persistent fatigue
Breathlessness on exertion
Pallor
Hair, skin and nail changes
Your history
Heavy periods
Diet pattern
Digestive conditions
Recent blood loss
Resting heart rate and activity tolerance from your connected wearable.
How it works
Three steps. No sign-up to begin.
01
Note the symptoms and how long
Duration and what makes it worse are the useful details.
02
Ask for the blood count and ferritin
Both together. Either alone can miss it.
03
Follow the cause, not just the number
Correcting iron without finding out why it fell leaves the underlying reason in place.
What this is not.
ONU does not publish a score for this area. The supplied model has unresolved gaps, and a number with no settled meaning would be worse than none.
The supplied anaemia model weights 23 items across three domains; its biomarker section carries most of the weight and is not reproducible from the document alone.
Never start iron supplements on the basis of a website. Excess iron is harmful.
If you have symptoms that worry you, contact a healthcare professional rather than waiting for an app.
